Camper Remodel: This will end eventually, right?

We have owned our lovely camper for about 3 months now, and over the course of those 3 months, have spent nearly every weekend getting it prepped for our big trip to the East Coast over the 4th of July. We have had a lot of fun fixing this thing up, but I will be completely honest and say I am so ready to start camping already! I can only paint fake wood for so long ;)

With that disclosure out of the way, here are some pictures from our weekend.

1. Peter worked on installing the fridge enclosure while I cleaned out the fridge.  By the way, the fridge kind of smells gross. Like mildewy? Maybe what you'd expect in a 20 year old camper fridge? I've been trying a few tricks, like vinegar, baking soda, etc. I will let you know if something works.

Bathroom update

The bathroom is one of the most finished rooms in the house (although its not completely done...its use-able and you can get a good idea of where its going).

So let's take a look at the "before" pictures. Hole in the wall, old electric, vanity was okay but nothing special, small dirty toilet, and wood planks on the ground covering up layers of chipped up tile.

There was a jet tub, but it was leaking through to the dining room below. All dirty. White square tiles.

Here is the bathroom now.  The bathroom was completely gutted and re-tiled. There is subway tile in the bathtub, carrara marble 12 x 12 marble on the floor, a new vanity and faucet, new lighting, new toilet, new mirror. The walls were painted edgecomb gray by Benjamin Moore.

Its difficult to get a good picture in this room because there are no windows in the area, so forgive me for the overblown lighting shots.

I got the shower curtain from West Elm. I am really liking it!

It's a small bathroom but it gets the job done! This is the only room so far that we've hired help for. The reno is going slow, so we decided to hire a local guy to do the tile, and he did a great job.

Progress in the bathroom

Brief update! Who knew being a lawyer and renovating a house would make me so busy ;)? We got the bathroom tiled this week! Looks great, although we don't have a counter top for the vanity and the toilet isn't installed. When the project is done, I will post better pics with details. For now, here is a little photo grid with the transformation.
Happy holidays!

Mirror mirror on the bathroom wall

So the single upstairs bathroom at the house is okay but leaves a lot to be desired. On the plus side, there is a new vanity, hardwood floors, white tiles in the shower area, and a semi-new toilet. On the negative side, there is a gaping hole in the wall, no mirror, a weird/gross toilet seat made of fabric (eew), and a dirty tub.

(Bathroom)

I found some inspiration online and bought this mirror, pictured below, from Gordmans for only $34! What a steal. My parents hung the mirror up so that they had at least one mirror in the house. Rest assured, that hole in the wall will be filled in and the walls will be painted. This was just a temporary thing. But it is still exciting that there is PROGRESS.
(My parents texted me: "Bathroom reno finished!! ;) hehe")

Here are some pictures I used as inspiration for the bathroom. I think I found the exact mirror as from the pictures below, although she apparently got hers from Lowes or Home Depot.
Loving the greige walls with the crisp white towels and shower curtain.

I will definitely need some over-the-commode storage. :)
